You have standards for your gear. It needs to perform as well on in a rugged mountain summit–like the iconic jagged peaks of Patagonia–as it looks in downtown Denver, on the streets of Seattle, or to and from the office in Silicon Valley. That’s why a Karukinka Outdoor technical garment is so much more than a sweater or jacket. It’s the freedom to go on that adventure you’ve been meaning to take and the sense of accomplishment that comes when you finally reach the summit that’s been on your bucket list.
Each Karukinka sweater is made fromnatural fibers–wool from a llama, alpaca, guanaco, and/or sheep. Because of the high-quality wool used in these garments and the fact that each piece is produced by hand in Patagonia and goes through a rigorous quality inspection before being shipped to your door, these garments are like nothing else on the market.
Each piece has a high thermal capacity and breathability that keeps you warm while wicking away internal moisture and sweat evaporation. The natural fibers also allow for impermeability and external water repellency that means it holds up under extreme conditions, keeping the rain, winds, and snow from standing between you and the summit.
Because of the attention to detailthat goes into these pieces, the impeccable designs, and the high-quality materials used, Karukinka sweaters are also more lightweight, flexible, stretchy, and comfortable than other wool apparel. Versatility is one of the chief objectives of our designers, who make a stylish, fashion-forward clothing item that is as beautiful as it is comfortable. And each of our sweaters and jackets is handcrafted in Patagonia.
